IEO3 has been inaugurated in Milan, the new building of the European Institute of Oncology — a facility that marks an extraordinary step forward for Italian and European oncologic surgery.
The ceremony was attended by regional authorities and the Institute’s management, underscoring the strategic relevance of this project for national healthcare.

At the heart of the new structure lies the surgical block designed and built by Operamed, an area of the highest technological complexity that includes 12 new operating rooms, 4 of which are fully dedicated to robotic surgery.
These spaces were conceived as true smart operating rooms: intelligent environments designed to integrate equipment, devices, workflows, and systems into a single coherent, efficient, and fully digital ecosystem.
Among their features, the rooms include advanced video-routing technologies that allow live broadcasting of surgical procedures, supporting education, training, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The project was developed and delivered using our TrueSpace modular prefabricated system, ensuring superior construction quality, customization, and complete integration of all technical infrastructures.

For Operamed, contributing to this new center is a source of profound pride.
The project fully reflects our identity: creating surgical environments where engineering, technology, and healthcare design work together to support the future of oncologic care.
Not merely physical rooms, but intelligent environments designed to connect technology, precision, and safety, turning the vision of tomorrow’s healthcare into everyday clinical reality.
