For the "Salus Hospital" clinic in Reggio Emilia, of the Villa Maria group, Operamed has created an interesting hybrid operating room. The real challenge of this project, was to incorporate all components within what was an extremely small space.
The surface of the room is only just over 44 square meters, a matter that required a very specific design concept to be developed before work could start. The Operamed team actively participated in this complex planning process alongside the managers of “Salus Hospital”, and the technicians of both Hillrom and Siemens.
The results led to are a unique distribution of the space to be allow us to perfectly integrate the most advanced angiographic equipment available on the market within the prefabricated Truespace enclosure. The room is constructed using modular Corian and glass walls, with an airtight inspectable false ceiling. This was a remarkable engineering exercise, that made it possible to fit the best of technology, within a very compact room.
