Construction of a new intensive care unit from scratch

Operamed has created a turnkey project, which includes the creation of a modern and highly functional department, characterised by optimised spaces, integrated technologies and solutions for the humanisation of the environments.

The new Intensive Care Unit at Cittadella Hospital represents a strategic intervention to enhance the facility’s care capacity and ensure advanced standards of care, safety, and comfort for patients and healthcare workers.

The project includes:

14 Intensive Care units in single and double wards (8 for intensive care and 6 for cardiac intensive care)
Rooms dedicated to reporting, physician and nursing work, outpatient clinics, and storage areas
Total area of approximately 620 m²

The wards were constructed using the TrueSpace prefabricated modular system, with floor-to-ceiling glass modules and automatic sliding glass doors to ensure maximum transparency, visual control, safety, and ease of operation.
Particular attention was paid to the personalization and humanization of the spaces, with design solutions designed to promote patient well-being, the peace of mind of family members, and the efficiency of clinical staff.
