Construction of a prefabricated operating theater and intensive care unit with Corian and steel walls, antibacterial finishes, and lighting details.

Operamed has created a fully prefabricated operating theater and intensive care unit for Zulekha Hospital in Dubai, designed to ensure maximum efficiency, comfort, and safety.
The operating theater consists of seven prefabricated rooms, one of which is X-ray shielded, each served by external areas dedicated to sterilization and resuscitation.

The rooms are made with 12 mm TrueSpace modular walls in DuPont Corian®, while the external areas have a 0.8 mm thick galvanized steel laminate finish with 100 micron antibacterial PVC film.
Each room is equipped with colored technical panels, glass modules for monitors and workstations, and decorative glass panels with high-resolution digital prints, which help to humanize the spaces and create a visually welcoming environment. Full-height automatic glass doors with integrated digital printing—including a door weighing over 200 kg for the main operating room—complete this high-engineering project.

Particular attention has been paid to lighting and finishing details, such as LED strips and backlit panels with custom geometric patterns, which lend elegance and comfort to the rooms, improving the quality of the clinical staff’s daily work.
