Construction of a prefabricated laparoscopic operating room using the TrueSpace modular system, with antibacterial finishes and integrated management via touchscreen panel.

A project that combines technology, precision, and design: at the Toniolo Private Clinic in Bologna, Operamed delivered a prefabricated laparoscopic operating room with ancillary areas—including preparation and recovery rooms, patient services, storage, and an entrance filter—using our TrueSpace modular wall system.
The prefabricated walls feature painted steel finishes with antibacterial properties, designed to ensure hygiene, durability, and long-term resistance. The sealed suspended ceiling is fully integrated with RGB LED luminaires, allowing customized lighting scenarios to be created according to different operational phases or clinical needs.
All operating room functions—lighting, environmental parameters, gas and electrical alarms—are managed via an intuitive touchscreen control panel, which centralizes controls and simplifies staff operations.
The automatic airtight doors are made of painted steel in the same color as the walls, ensuring aesthetic uniformity and complete isolation. Enhancing the distinctiveness of the environment is a colored enameled glass wall, designed to accommodate a large DICOM monitor, along with a backlit Corian® decorative panel that adds brightness and refinement to the space.
The result is an elegant, efficient, and technologically advanced operating room, where every element—from design to performance—is conceived to deliver maximum comfort and control during surgical activities.
