Refurbishment of an existing operating block

New operating rooms and support areas designed to combine technology, safety, and comfort, featuring welcoming spaces and next-generation antibacterial finishes.

Five new prefabricated operating rooms and the complete renovation of all ancillary areas within the surgical block: the intervention carried out by Operamed at the San Carlo di Nancy Private Clinic in Rome represents a concrete example of integration between technology, functionality, and design.
The refurbishment included the cladding of the prefabricated operating rooms with our TrueSpace modular wall system, finished in DuPont™ Corian®, a material that ensures durability, hygiene, and maximum ease of cleaning. Glazed modules dedicated to monitors for DICOM image visualization were integrated into the walls, perfectly flush with the surfaces and easily inspectable.
Sterile support areas—including the clean corridor, preparation and recovery areas, and scrub rooms—were also built using TrueSpace prefabricated walls, ensuring aesthetic continuity and uniform performance throughout the entire surgical block.
To complete the intervention, Operamed supplied custom-made furnishings designed to meet operational requirements and optimize the use of every available space.
The result is a coherent, modern, and highly functional environment, where every element contributes to the safety and comfort of healthcare professionals while improving the overall efficiency of the operating block.
