Operating room renovation

Renovation of the ISO 5 operating theater with prefabricated rooms in Corian and glass, stainless steel furnishings, REI doors, and VIDEOMED video integration system.

Operamed carried out the complete renovation of the operating theater at the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome, located on the ground floor of the Spellman Pavilion. The new complex includes two operating rooms, preparation and recovery areas, surgeon preparation rooms, sub-sterilization rooms, and technical storage rooms.
The prefabricated operating rooms were built with the highest quality materials, such as DuPont Corian® and tempered glass, to ensure durability, hygiene, and integrated design. Three sides of the rooms feature a 12 mm monolithic white Corian finish with colored inserts at the technical panels, while the patient access side is made of satin-finished tempered glass screen-printed with custom designs chosen by the project management.
The rooms, classified as ISO 5, are equipped with laminar flow diffusers, Trumpf Medical wall units, stainless steel furnishings (cabinets, pass-throughs, sinks, counters, and wall units), and painted steel false ceilings. The external rooms were made of painted steel, with sanitary PVC flooring and wall coverings.
Operamed handled the entire turnkey supply of the operating theater: prefabricated walls in Corian and steel, REI plasterboard walls, manual or automatic hinged and sliding doors, REI fire doors, sealed false ceilings, integrated lighting, and the latest generation VIDEOMED video integration system.
